Framing & Display FAQ

What kind of frames do you use?
Each Fine Art print comes professionally framed in Aluwood — an innovative blend of aluminum and real wood veneer. You can choose between two finishes:
- Anthracite Black for a modern, striking look
-
Oak for a softer, natural feel
Both styles offer a refined wooden texture and are crafted for durability and elegance.
Who makes the frames?
All frames are produced by Dialab in Helsinki, my trusted print partner known for their quality and craftsmanship. You can learn more about their process here.
Do the prints come with glass?
Prints are shipped without glass for both safety and aesthetics. This lets the unique texture and depth of Hahnemühle PhotoRag Satin paper truly shine, giving your artwork a premium, gallery-quality feel.
If you prefer added protection — especially in sunny or humid environments — your local framer can easily add UV-protective glass or museum glass. I recommend UV-glass that minimizes reflections and preserves color vibrancy.
Are the prints ready to hang?
Yes! Every Aluwood-framed print arrives ready to display.
- Each frame includes sturdy, movable metal sawtooth hangers on the back.
- For larger or heavier pieces, a hanging wire or cable can also be mounted for extra security.
Any tips for hanging and displaying my print?
- Measure your space carefully! Art often looks larger in person than it seems online. If you’re unsure, the smaller size may fit your space best.
- Give larger prints room to breathe. Let them be the focal point of your wall.
- Choose a strong wall and use proper anchors if needed; these frames are solid and deserve a secure display.
- Avoid placing in direct, nonstop sunlight — some sun is fine, but constant exposure can fade even the best prints over time, especially without UV-glass.
- Keep away from high humidity or rapidly changing temperatures. Steady environments are best for longevity.
What about the white border?
Each print includes a 10 cm white border around the image. This not only makes handling safer but also adds an elevated, gallery-style presentation to your artwork.
Can I reframe or customize my piece?
Absolutely! If you wish to reframe or add glass, I recommend working with a reputable local framer and requesting high-quality, UV-protective glass for the best results.
Do you offer advice on choosing art for my space?
Yes! I include a care guide with every order, and as a trained Interior Designer, I’m happy to offer personalized recommendations to help you select the perfect piece or size for your home.
