I know these dark realms all too well.
Where roots weave through forgotten years,
and whispers outlast every breath.

I have watched you wander here before,
footsteps wobbly,
heart uncertain,
mind racing,
always searching for something
you once had a word for.

What is it that you seek?
Is it connection — or greed?

Greedy souls I swallow whole,
there is no pride in here for those
poor, unfortunate souls.

But those who seek
